First Visit

First Visit

Your initial appointment will consist of a comprehensive consultation, during which our skilled medical professionals will take the time to explain your diagnosis and carefully discuss the various treatment options available to address your specific needs. We understand that each patient is unique, and we strive to provide personalized care tailored to your individual circumstances.

In some cases, if deemed appropriate based on the assessment done during the consultation, surgery can be performed on the same day. However, in situations where there is a complex medical history or an intricate treatment plan required for optimal results, it may be necessary for us to conduct further evaluation and schedule a second appointment dedicated solely to providing treatment on another day.

To ensure smooth operations and streamline your experience with us, we kindly request your assistance in bringing certain information at the time of your consultation.

  • It would greatly aid our team if you could provide us with a surgical referral slip from your referring healthcare professional as well as any relevant X-rays that are applicable to help accurately diagnose and devise an effective treatment strategy.
  • Additionally, please furnish us with a detailed list of medications you are presently taking so that we can account for any potential interactions or complications during our procedures.
  • Lastly, if you possess dental insurance coverage, it is essential that you bring copies (both front and back) of your insurance cards along with you for verification purposes at the time of your appointment.

IMPORTANT: All patients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all visits to ensure their safety and well-being throughout the process.

When it comes to certain procedures, such as those requiring IV anesthesia for surgery, a preoperative consultation and examination become mandatory. This is done to assess the patient's health condition and determine their suitability for the procedure.

Furthermore, patients undergoing IV anesthesia must refrain from eating or drinking anything eight hours before surgery. This precautionary measure helps minimize any potential complications during the operation.

Also, due to the effects of anesthesia, an adult must accompany these patients to drive them home safely afterward.

In addition, we kindly request that you inform us if you have any underlying medical conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves and joints, rheumatic fever, etc., or if you are taking medications. (e.g., heart medications, aspirin, anticoagulant therapy, etc.).

X-Rays

If your referring doctor has taken X-rays, it is highly recommended that you promptly request for them to be conveniently emailed to our office at morristownoms@gmail.com. In the event that additional films are deemed necessary during your visit, rest assured that they will be expertly captured by our team.
